Description
Manufactured 1909. Features Krupp fluid steel barrels, wide matted solid rib with single bead, splinter forearm, Anson release, standard extractors, box lock, top tang safety, double set triggers, round knob, checkered walnut and a red waffle pad. Has all matching numbers. Grade is stamped at the inside bottom of frame. Barrels retains approximately 75% of their original high polish blue finish, thinning to a blue-grey hue. Frame is stamped "Ansley H. Fox". Retains approximately 20% case colors with light border and scroll engraving. Checkering is visible but wearing thin on grip and forend. Stock has been freshened up. Lock-up is tight as new with no wiggle. The Fox Company operated out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania manufacturing boxlock hammerless doubles only in medium and high grades.
