19th century, the guard with a molded Prussian eagle and inscribed with the original owner's name, "Falch," the grip mounting an enameled Garde medallion with the motto "Suum Cuicue" (the motto of the Order of the Black Eagle, founded in 1701, the highest order of chivalry in the Kingdom of Prussia), the blade with a double fuller. 37.5" L. Some losses to crosshatched metal on grip; minor overall surface wear; tarnish spots to blade; lacking scabbard.
