Condition

Very good. The cover, plain beige cloth with black lettering to the spine, is in good overall condition, with surface scuffs, a tanned but clearly legible and straight spine, which has curl to its ends, and with a solid connection to the inside (see photo). The inside is almost uniformly clean, with occasional light scuffs but no prominent stains, shallow creases to some page edges, but with most pages uncreased, no stamps or other attachments, no writing, no loose or missing pages. The title page, designed by Tiffany, with extensive gilt accents, is without notable flaws. All the text and the many illustrations are clean and unfaded.
