Description
Very fine 18th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty Tea Dust glazed double gourd porcelain vase. Sturdily potted in flattened double gourd shaped vase, with two animal masks flanked on the collar, raised on a splayed oval foot base. All reserved in olive-green under glazed with densely dusted golden-yellow speckles, thinning to brown at mouth-rim and edges.
Mark on base, an impressed six seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing (1735-1796), and of the period.
Dimension: 13-1/2" H x 8-7/8" W
PROVENANCE:
From the collection of General Chen Qi (陳淇) (1912-2000), who styled himself as “Cangquan” (滄泉)and “Yuquanshanren”(玉泉山人), an artist, calligrapher, a prominent businessman and private antiques collector.
