A 19th-century porcelain inkwell, possibly Miklashevsky, modeled as a shepherdess with two sheepdogs, the slip-on lid lifting to reveal ink and sand cups, with impressed Roman numeral I on underside of lid, '2' in brick red overglaze on the interior flange of the base, the underside with a brown underglaze inscription, possibly 'Rro,' the neck of the shepherdess broken and repaired. 7 x 6 1/2 in. (17.8 x 16.5 cm).
