A fine Russian Faberge style figural inkwell depicting a bear with a globular sandstone body decorated with nielloed silver overlays and bright turquoise guilloche enamel. The hinged lid is modeled as a bears head set with ruby cabochons as eyes. Raised on four bears feet marked with an 88 silver standard next to a female head in a kokoshnik turned to the right and other Russian hallmarks.
