35 folios from a devotional compilation including illustrated episodes related to the Bhagavat Gita, the Ramayana and other narratives
Lines of text in old Punjabi written in Gurmukhi script - in black with some of the significant words highlighted in red
Some folios include depictions:
Krishna and Arjuna seated in a chariot; discussions among rishis (holymen) and gurus
Ganesha with his consort seated on a lotus greeting Saraswati
Surya the Sun God; Hanuman holding a mace confronting asuras (demons)
Rama with Lakshmana and Hanuman
The monkey king waving his mace meeting Shiva seated on Nandi the bull - and numerous other depictions from Kashmiri and/or Sikh texts
Black and orange vertical side frame lines
