Description
Greece, Magna Graecia/South Italic colonies, ca. 430 to 420 BCE. A miniature nestoris, a form inspired by the trozzella of Messapia. It has a biconical body with two high, vertical handles that reach a peak before folding down to blend into the rim. The upper body is decorated with a dart design above some thin lines, all in the orange-red color of the red figure decoration style. Size: 2.8" W x 2.5" H (7.1 cm x 6.4 cm)
