The work by monogrammist LF shows a portrait of an older man wearing a hat. The entire composition is drawn on brown colored paper in dark brown colors. Only a delicate flower decorates the gentleman’s hat whose face is done down in detail.

The present drawing is executed in oil crayon by an Austrian artist on verso inscribed ‘LF geb 1887 in Wien gest 1963 in Salzburg.’ The portrait is laminated on paper and card board, sticked to the passe-partout. The work on paper itself is in very good condition. Because of repeating attachments of the cardboard to the passe-partout with sticky tape, the cardboard is damaged on verso. The image measures 18 x 13 cm. The dimensions of the work are 39.7 x 30 cm.
