Dimensions: the first, 22 ½ x 30 ½ inches; the second, 29 x 22 ½ inches
Kevin Red Star was born and raised on the Crow Indian Reservation in Lodge Grass, MT. He was one of 150 students chosen to attend the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM. He was encouraged to explore his history and culture through modern art techniques. Later, he went on to study at the San Francisco Art Institute. His work is on display at The Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D. C., the Denver Art Museum in Denver, CO, the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ, the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis, IN, and the C. M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, MT.
