Serial no. 124883, .45-70 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Left side of barrel with V / P / (eagle) / P proofs. Lock marked: (eagle) and U.S. / SPRINGFIELD. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut stock. US marked metal carbine butt with tool reservoir.

Condition: Very good. Finish a smooth grey patina with normal age wear and patches of pitting. Mottled grey lock. Scattered dings and bruises to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
