Serial 39217 [action] and 12721 [breech], .54 caliber, 21-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Breechloading. Saddle ring. Left side of lock marked: BURNSIDE RIFLE CO. / PROVIDENCE - R.I. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Sling swivel. Crescent metal buttplate.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable wear and pitting. Heavy dings and bruises to wood. Action is good.
