A Large Colonial Indian Silver Over Wood Figure of a Bombay Cavalryman, early 20th century
39 h x 32-1/2 w x 13 d inches (99.1 x 82.6 x 33.0 cm)
The unusually large sculpture in the form of a well-dressed cavalryman on horseback bearing banner, body comprised of carved wood overlaid with sheets of chased silver; the metal sheeting bears no stamping or proof marks but has been tested and is of silver.

Condition
Two rivets missing to flag, some curling and losses to sheeting to tail where joinery to body occurs, polish residue to crevices, light dents inherent to manufacturing, with wear commensurate with age and use.
