WCTU Suffragette “Mary Livermore” Clipped Autograph
MARY LIVERMORE (1820-1905). American Journalist and Advocate of Women’s Rights. After the Civil War, she devoted herself to the Promotion of Women’s Suffrage and the Temperance Movement, starting her own Woman's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) Chapter in her hometown of Melrose Massachusetts.
An original Photograph of Mary A Livermore in very poor quality with wear and stains. It does have an original large clip of her actual signature on paper in brown ink, laid down beneath the photograph.
