Description
Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Ca 1150 to 500 BCE. Redware pottery figure of a standing female, she stands with hands to her slightly distended belly (probably an indication of pregnancy), with small breasts and large triangular head with deep pupils formed by poking with sharp stick. An incredible early example dating almost 3000 years old! Size: 11" H. Provenance: Ex- Adeon Gallery, Chicago, Il, Nick Poolos, acquired prior to 1970.

Intact and excellent with deep caliche deposits on surface
