Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A heavy, smooth solid silver ring that is set with a carnelian intaglio. The intaglio may depict a goat, perhaps a reference to the god Pan, the god of shepherds and flocks. Size US 9, weight 13.5 grams
