Description
Roman Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. Very fine solid gold ring, probably a young man's, set with a chalcedony green stone intaglio in which has been etched a scene of a satyr and a goat, object in the satyr's outstretched left hand. Measures about size 3 and tests at 22kt+ and 3.8 grams. Size: .75" W (1.9 cm).
