Description
8th - 10th century AD. A ceramic jar with piriform body, raised rib to the shoulder, broad tubular neck with flared undulating rim, two chevron handles to the shoulder; the body with raised chevron panels and painted geometric designs respecting the edges, rosette and meander motifs to the neck. 2 kg, 22.5cm (9"). Property of an Austrian collector; acquired in the 1970s.[No Reserve]
