Description
12th century BC. A cream-glazed terracotta jug with deep belly, flared basal ring, broad neck with flared rim, strap handle formed as two twisted bands with knot above; painted black geometric panels to neck and shoulder, swags to the inner lip. 755 grams, 16.5cm (6 1/2"). Property of a European collector living in London; acquired before 2000.
