Description
1st millennium BC. A hollow-formed ceramic vessel with bovine head to the forward end and pierced lug to the chest, bowl to the upper face with vent below, waisted tube to the rear, four stub legs each pierced to accept an axle; four ceramic wheels each with a with flared hub. Cf. Serhal, C.D. Near Eastern Terracotta Models and Figurines: The Klat Collection, London, 1995, item 52 for type. 936 grams total, 17cm (6 3/4").
