Description
9th-12th century AD. A group of silver belt fittings comprising: seven bells, one plain, six with incised lines and one with faceted face; five belt mounts with bilinear knot motif, three attachment pegs to the reverse; two drum-shaped studs with flat tops incised with rosette; two rectangular belt plates with diamond shape to each corner and strap hole to one side; three flat-section mounts with stylised face design and strap hole to one end; a D-shaped buckle with extending D-shape section to the back with floral pattern to the end. 55 grams total, 13-31mm (1/2 - 1 1/4"). Property of a European collector; acquired before 2000. [20, No Reserve]
