Conway Twitty (born Harold Loyd Jenkins, 1933-1993) was an American country singer, who also had success in the rock and roll genre. He recieved a string of Country Music Association awards from 1971-1976, for duets with Loretta Lynn. He would eventually be inducted into both the Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame.
