The award is signed by the governor of Kentucky as well as the Secretary of State, and is dated January 29, 1981. The piece has been professionally framed, and was personally owned by Twitty. The piece (including the frame) measures 11.25" x 14". The piece will come with a certificate of authenticity from the Conway Twitty Estate. Conway Twitty (born Harold Loyd Jenkins, 1933-1993) was an American country singer, who also had success in the rock and roll genre. He recieved a string of Country Music Association awards from 1971-1976, for duets with Loretta Lynn. He would eventually be inducted into both the Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame.
