Chinese Ji Zhou Mei Ping Vase:
Chinese JIZHOU Ware Vase with simple globular oval shape, short neck, with narrow flat base and opening. The exterior characterized with pre-rotted leafs mounted underglazed on the central body showing only the skeletal remains. It is coated with a lighter color glaze before it is positioned on the interior of a black glazed vase. The crackle glaze is of a dark brownish olive tone streaking to a creamy coffee brown simulating tixi lacquer and stopping above the concave base exposing the pale buff foot rim.
