A FINE MING DYNASTY LARGE CHINESE CARVED 'NIGHT LOTUS' LONGQUAN CELADON BARBED-RIM CHARGER
Stoutly potted flori-form lobed petal rim, incised and decorated with a central medallion with uptala, the night lotus blossom growing on twisted stems, the lobed sides with upright floral sprays radiating around cavetto, before a key fret band on the broad, bracket-lobed mouth rim, the conforming exterior with further floral sprays radiating around the low foot ring, covered with a light celadon-green glaze, the underside base with an unglazed circle burnt orange in the firing.
