Rome, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A pretty clear glass flask, with enough exposed original surface without patina to be able to envision it as its first Roman owner did. Imagine purchasing this pretty object, with its rounded bowl and pinched, thin neck terminating in a slightly flat, flared rim, to hold your perfumes and other cosmetics that you use to prepare for the day as a Roman citizen.
