Louis Vuitton Luxury Wardrobe Trunk, ca. 1937, the hardwood canvas-covered case fitted with leather handles, hardwood slats, brass trim, marked rivets and lock, opening to a leather interior with a side of six graduated drawers, the other side with a hinged top lid enclosing the wardrobe, compartment fitted with hangers and pull-out clothes rods, case side monogrammed "BBJ" in blue, serial number 808910, lock number 054497, h. 26", l. 44", d. 22". In overall good condition with no losses to original leather handles and locks. The exterior canvas is largely intact and exhibits light travel wear, including three small 1/8" tears to canvas on trunk bottom and some scattered nicks, dents, scratches and surface loss to monogrammed pattern on the side of the trunk from where a steamer label was likely removed. The interior is in the same good condition. The top jewelry drawer has two small losses to its tan-orange canvas-covered left edge and corner. The other drawers have light abrading and wear to their corners from having been opened and closed many times. Clothes holder and leather handles on the drawers have some soiling. Condition issues are relatively minor and are as to be expected with age and luggage wear.
