Tavola originale realizzata da Pratt per "Côtes de nuit e rose di Piccardia", quinta parte del ciclo de Le Celtiche, edita per la prima volta in Francia sulla rivista Pif Gadget n. 172 dalle Éditions Vaillant nel 1972. In questa leggendaria mezza tavola, numerata 17A, si consuma la fine del l'asso dell'aviazione tedesca Manfred von Richthofen, meglio conosciuto come il Barone Rosso, tra i protagonisti di questa avventura di Corto Maltese ambientata nell'aprile del 1918 tra le trincee australiane e quelle tedesche.

Original comic art drawn by Pratt for "Côtes de nuit e rose di Piccardia", fifth part of the Le Celtiche cycle, published for the first time in France on Pif Gadget magazine n. 172 by Éditions Vaillant in 1972. In this legendary half-page, numbered 17A, the great German aviator, Manfred von Richthofen, also known as the Red Baron, meets his demise. The Red Baron is one of the main characters of this Corto Maltese adventure set during April 1918 between the German and Australian trenches.
