Description
Pre-Columbian, Gulf Coast Mexico, Veracruz, ca. 600 - 900 CE. Hollow-molded buff terracotta standing male figure having separately made, articulated arms. The molded facial detail shows a small face with almond shaped eyes, small nose and realistic mouth, parted and showing teeth. Some red remains on the headdress and there is a working whistle blow hole at the very top. Size: 10-1/2"H + custom metal mount.
