Description
Inca Culture staff finial representing a feline with teeth bared. Copper alloy. Peru. Circa 1400 AD (late horizon). With coffee bean eyes, erect ears, a flattened nose, cut-through teeth, and ball rattles suspended on loops from the neck.
SIZE: Height (without base) - 4” (10.25 cm) / Width (ear to ear) - 2.5” (6.5 cm)
PROVENANCE / NOTES: from a San francisco collection. Wood base is included and is not attached to the finial.

Condition
Good condition with no losses. Overall encrusted, green patina as shown. Traces of soil encrustation.
