A mid 19th century Birge, Gilbert & Co. Double decker shelf clock. 8-day strap Brass weight driven time and strike with painted wooden dial. Mahogany case with molded crown, upper door with reverse painted lower glass flanked by turned columns above a lower door with reverse painted glass all on squat turned feet. Old finish with some wear and minor damage, repainted lower glasses. Running when cataloged. 35 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $300-500
