China, Ming Dynasty style, ca. 17th to 19th Century CE. A carved wood figure depicting the warrior guardian standing in a protective posture. He wears armor, heavy cuirasses and helmet and stands on a rocky outcrop. Remains of original surface pigment. Good size. Size: 26.5" H (67.3 cm)
