Heavy stoneware with translucent pale green-blueish crackled glaze and underglaze blue

Conical bowl with slightly rounded sides on a straight  foot and with thin mouth rim
The walls decorated with pattern of fine dots, lines and Chinese scrolls (karakusa)Â
Parts of the center inside unglazed
Since the 16th century Southeast Asian Bowls like this were highly appreciated art objects used in the Japanese tea ceremony
With wooden inscribed box

Provenance: from a German private collection, acquired in Japan in the 1990s
