Description
Two tricolor animal brush pots from the 19th Century. Both have a yellow, green, and brown glaze. One has a bird perched over the shallow bowl of the brush washer the other is in the form of a guardian lion and has a spout so that it can also serve as a water dropper. The guardian lion brush pot has a wooden stand.
Dimensions are 3 3/4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches high, respectively. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: They are in good condition.
Provenance: From a Chicago estate; the proprietor resided in Hong Kong from 1950-1960.
