AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL PORTRAIT PRINTS, LOT OF TWO, engraving on paper (each), comprising a Spencerian-style calligraphic mourning portrait of George Washington, titled "Sacred To The Memory of the Illustrious Champion of Liberty / General George Washington", engraved and published by John I. Donlevy (d.1872), housed under glass in a 19th-century frame; and a bust-length example, engraved by John Sartain (1808-1897) after an original work by Gilbert Stuart (1755-1828), housed under UV glass in a modern frame. First half 19th century. 19 5/8" x 15 5/8" sight, 24 1/4" x 20 1/4" OA.
Calligraphic example in very good visual condition with minimal toning, foxing, and discoloration. Sartain engraving with overall toning and areas of foxing and discoloration. Old frame with minor wear and losses. Not examined out of frames.
