ASSORTED CHRISTMAS AND OTHER POST CARDS, UNCOUNTED LOT, more than 500 pieces, comprising four albums, the first three primarily featuring Christmas cards, including one artist-signed Ellen Clapsaddle, and approximately 30 heavy embossed / relief examples, some of which have applied cloth decoration, and some booklet or cut-out examples, and the fourth featuring scenic or souvenir examples, including several real photo / RPPC, with an emphasis on West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Rhode Island, and a few Valley of Virginia examples; publishers include Nash, Tuck, Vollard, E. A. Schwerdtfeger, International Art, and Julius Bien; some undivided backs, some unused. Most first quarter 20th century.
Good condition overall, most with some minor edge and corner wear, some with minor staining or toning; a few in poor condition, with some having postmark or inscription to face, creases, heavier wear and/or minor to moderate losses, including to backs.
