Jean Keuleyan Lafon (1886 - 1973) Oil on Artist Board "Paysage a l'arbre". French Landscape with Trees, signed lower left, Jean Lafon. Jean Lafon was a provencal painter of marines and landscapes and well known for his use of sunsets and moonlight in his paintings. He was born in Paris in 1886 and often painted under the pseudonym of Jean Keuleyan Lafon. He exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1875 and was a member of the Societe National de Beaux Arts from 1890. As an artist he is well listed and has many works in museums across France.
