Description
Far East, Annamese (sometimes Anamese), modern day Vietnam, ca. 15th to 16th century CE. A brown-yellow glazed bowl with impressed flower leaf, and sunburst designs and a slightly pronounced foot. Annamese ware was inspired by Chinese artisans -- in fact, the first known factory, built in 1465 in Bac-ninh, was probably settled by the Chinese. Size: 6.6" W x 2.6" H (16.8 cm x 6.6 cm)
