Burma, 18th to 19th century CE. Wonderful piece of marble! Larger than life-size head of a very serene Buddha of fine white marble painted in shades of deep black and red with remains of original gilding. Downturned eyes, arched eyebrows and topknot with flame upon head, elongated earlobes and remains of collar. Stunning! Custom stand. Size: 14" H (35.6 cm)
