TIFFANY STERLING SILVER PRESENTATION PUNCH BOWL - A Wedding Gift from the Scroll & Key Society of Yale, on the occasion of the marriage of Elizabeth Claude Grayson and Francis Cowles Cady of the Class of 1938. Engraved with their names and the date of January 31, 1942, and with the Scroll & Key emblem having initilas "CSP' and "CCF" above and below. Around the upper rim is engraved the names of fifteen men, members of the Society and the wedding party, including several who went on to fame and fortune: R. Sargent Shriver, Founder of the Peace Corps, Head Start, US Ambassador to France under Kennedy; Hugh Auchincloss, Jr., Stepfather to Jackie Kennedy; Rev. Burton A. MacLean, Head of Pomfret School; John M. Woolsey, Jr., Prosecutor at the Nuremburg Trials; J. Deering Danielson, Chicago millionaire philanthropist, others. Bowl marked "Tiffany & Co., Sterling Silver, 23123, M", 6 1/2" x 11 1/4" diam., 61.25 ozt. Fine condition.
