Description
Pre-Columbian, Central Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 200 to 800 CE. A wonderful ensemble of six distinct, miniature ceramic heads created by the indigenous of Teotihuacan. Each visage was brought to life via finely delineated facial features, underlying bone structure, stylized headdresses, ear ornaments, and more by the ancient artisans! Size: shadow box measures 11" x 9" x 3-1/2" (27.9 x 22.9 x 8.9 cm); smallest head measures 1-1/4" x 3/4" (3.2 x 1.9 cm); largest measures 1-7/8" x 1-1/2" (4.8 x 3.8 cm).
