Description
Egypt, Late Period, Dynasty 25 through 30, ca. 712 to 332 BCE. An Egyptian mud linen and gesso painted sarcophagus cartonnage fragment, painted with an image of standing falcon-headed Horus, rows of uraei, and an abstract petaled flower, in hues of deep azure blue, black, and tan. A wonderful and rare piece sure to be a star in any collection. Custom, museum quality stand.
