This antique oil painting is after Rembrandt or Rembrandt school. It is indeed old and in its original frame.. There are several condition issues as pictured. There is major crackling, soil, dust and dirt. There appears to be a drip or stain to the left side of the subject's face. We at M&K would not normally consider this piece. It is however quite striking when viewed. We could not find a signature although someone named "Caroline" had staked her claim to the piece en verso and on the frame's back as well. Do to its lack of provenance and overall fair condition it is being sold without a reserve. It is as pictured. There are several issues, all pictured. Please ask all questions prior to bidding.
