Chinese, 19th century Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or earlier. Palatial sancai glazed pottery censer of tripod form with fu lion mask and claw feet surmounted by cylindrical body with bulbous base bearing dragons in relief chasing a flaming pearl, the center of body with applied Buddhist immortal figures flanking dragon medallions with an everted band at rim bearing carved and incised stylized waves, the shoulder with two large standing fu dog handles, with reticulated carved round fitted lid bearing white jade finial carved with dragon amid cloud scrolls and with fitted shaped triangular wooden base. Apparently unmarked. Overall approximate height 24", width across handles 18".
