Central Asia, Iran / Iraq, ca. 800 to 1100 CE. An elegant ceramic pouring vessel, the attractive and large form comprised of a globular body with a small loop handle and substantive spout, 2/3 of the surface covered in bright white slip with black decorations, the lower section redware. Nice manganese deposits. Stunning form with intriguing silhouette and decorative program! Size: 12" L x 6.8" H (30.5 cm x 17.3 cm)
