ENGLISH CERAMIC TEABOWL AND SAUCER SETS, LOT OF THREE, comprising one tea bowl and saucer with pink transfer-printed image of "The Marble Players" on exterior of tea bowl and interior of saucer, pink lustre on rim of saucer and tea bowl; two tea bowls and two saucers, both having polychrome-painted decorations having birds perched on branches among foliage on interiors of saucers and exteriors of tea bowls, one set having pink enamel painted on rims and the other having scalloped blue painted on interior of saucer and exterior of tea bowl. Transfer-printed saucer marked with "Shorthose & Co" on base, otherwise unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. 19th century. Tea bowls 2" H, saucers 5 1/2" DOA.
Very good condition. Minute area of roughness on one tea bowl rim, minute flake on foot rim of transfer-printed tea bowl, saucer with pink enamel on rim having three flakes to interior of saucer and radial hairline crack on base of same saucer.
