Description
PAIR OF KENTUCKY CARVED AND PAINTED FOLK ART FIGURES, wooden heads and hands, stitched-and-stuffed bodies, likely depicting a husband and wife, he with bald head, wearing suit with bow tie, she with hair in bun, wearing a printed-fabric dress and white apron. Now mounted on a wooden base with two vertical supports for figures. Family tradition indicates that these figures were made by Tom and Helen Claxton of Jeffersontown, KY. Circa 1920. 9 1/4" HOA.
Some wear, cracking, and discoloration to painted elements. Minor fading, wear, and discoloration to fabrics.
