green pulled feather on golden iridescent shade (6" long), base gooseneck style base, 15" tall, shade signed....Quezal glass was made from 1901 to 1924 at the Queens, New York, company started by Martin Bach, Sr. Other glassware by other firms, such as Loetz, Steuben, and Tiffany, resembles this gold-colored iridescent glass. Martin Bach died in 1921. Bach's son-in-law, Conrad Vahlsing, Jr., went to work at the Lustre Art Company about 1920 and his son, Martin Bach, Jr., worked at the Durand Art Glass division of the Vineland Flint Glass Works after 1924. The mark Quezal was registered in 1902.
