Vase converted into a lamp stand. China, Ming dynasty, 17th century.
Metal with cloisonné enamel.
Provenance: Trallero de Llavaneras Collection.
Measurements: 32 x 19 cm.
Chinese vase decorated entirely with cloisonné enamel, a technique which consists of depositing the vitreous paste of the enamel in compartments formed by metal sheets which, in relief, make up the silhouette of the design. An attractive floral composition, in bright colours on a blue background, spreads across the curved walls. The vase has been converted into a lamp base.
