Pre-Columbian, South America, northern Peru, Jequetepeque River region, Chavin ca. 600 to 400 BCE. Carved gray hard stone bowl, having an overall exterior incised decoration consisting of four highly stylized interlocking felines, highlighted with red cinnabar. Custom metal base. Size: 7.5" W (19 cm)
